Saturday, October 4 (Sign ups open until October 1st!)
At TWU, Local Outreach exists to help students live out the love of Jesus in tangible ways—right here in our neighborhoods. Discipleship is far more than just receiving, it’s about tangibly pouring out and serving too. Jesus didn’t just talk about love—He lived it. And we want to follow His lead.
That’s what this day is all about.
On the morning of Saturday, October 4, Local Outreach is hosting a Day of Service—a chance for student teams to step into our local communities and serve in practical, hands-on ways. Whether it’s yard work, organizing, cleaning, or simply showing up with a willing heart, this is an opportunity to be the hands and feet of Jesus to those around us.

🕘 Event Schedule
- 9:00 AM – We’ll kick off the day all together with a pancake breakfast and a time of prayer over our community. After that, teams will head out to their selected service opportunities.
- All service projects should wrap up before 1:00 PM.
- 1:30 PM – Teams regroup to debrief and pray!
💡 How It Works
- You’ll sign up as a team, not as an individual. Gather a group of friends who are ready to serve with you—your dorm, your D-group, your teammates, your housemates.
- One of you will be the Team Captain and fill out the sign-up form on behalf of your group.
- Your team will then select a volunteer opportunity that fits your group’s size and skills.
- The Team Captain will receive the contact info of the family/organization you will be helping and will connect with them to confirm the final service.
